Investments in agricultural production - Upper Austria (73-01)
The Upper Austrian variant of measure 73-01, in the country's second most important agricultural Land. It supports investments improving competitiveness, income, animal welfare, food…
Original title (DE): 73-01-BML-NOE Investitionen in die landwirtschaftliche Erzeugung
This is Austria's core on-farm investment measure, in its Lower Austria variant (the country's largest agricultural Land). It funds livestock housing, farm buildings, technical installations, silage systems, manure storage, pasture infrastructure, horticulture, fruit and perennial crops, IRRIGATION SYSTEMS, climate and environmental improvement measures and machinery. Applications are filed continuously on the DFP before the investment starts and enter a scored selection with a minimum threshold of 13 out of 24 points. The grant is combined with a 50% interest subsidy on the agricultural investment loan (AIK), with terms of 5 to 20 years.
Farm managers cultivating at least 3 hectares of agricultural land: natural persons, legal entities and registered partnerships running an agricultural or forestry holding. Groups of at least two managers are eligible for shared machinery investments.
There is no deadline: 'Förderanträge können laufend eingebracht werden'. Selection is however done in blocks, with cut-off dates (Auswahlstichtage) published in advance on the DFP: the 2026 dates could not be retrieved because the measure's 'Aufrufe und Fristen' page is empty in the accessible version. Confirm the dates with the Amt der NÖ Landesregierung or the DFP hotline (050 3151 99). The EUR 800,000 ceiling is the maximum theoretical contingent; the ordinary cap is EUR 400,000 per farm.
