Fondo di Garanzia PMI and ISMEA guarantees for agricultural credit

Data to be re-checked. The source does not publish the status or the dates of this scheme explicitly. Do not prepare an application without checking the managing body’s portal.

What it funds

Dual channel of public guarantee on bank credit. ISMEA issues direct and subsidiary guarantees in favour of agricultural and fisheries undertakings; the Fondo di Garanzia per le PMI instead covers the rest of the productive economy and has been progressively opened to agricultural undertakings as well. The coordination between the two instruments and the operating conditions were the subject of regulatory changes in 2026 which cannot be verified on the sources reached.

Who can apply

SMEs, agricultural and fisheries undertakings, depending on the instrument.

Sectoral scope

To be verified in detail: the scope of overlap between the Fondo di Garanzia PMI and ISMEA guarantees for the agricultural sector is the critical point and changes with reforms of the operating rules.

Notes and caveats

WARNING: measure not verified. It was not possible to open either the ISMEA pages on guarantees (domain inaccessible) or an up-to-date institutional page on the Fondo di Garanzia PMI in relation to the agricultural sector; the url_fonte indicated is a MIMIT page that was actually opened but relates to the Nuova Sabatini, not to the guarantees. Entry included only as a reminder of the channel, with no operational data. To be fully re-verified on mimit.gov.it, fondidigaranzia.it and ismea.it.
