LIFE - Calls for proposals 2026
This call is closed. The submission deadline was 22 September 2026. It stays in the catalogue because these windows recur: ask to be alerted when it reopens.
What it funds
2026 calls of the LIFE programme, structured in four sub-programmes: nature and biodiversity; circular economy and quality of life; climate change mitigation and adaptation; clean energy transition. The deadlines still open at the verification date are 3 September 2026 for the concept notes of strategic projects (SNaP, SIP Environment and SIP CLIMA), 8 September 2026 for the Framework Partnership Agreements, and 22 September 2026 for most Standard Action Projects, for Technical Assistance and for Specific Operating Grant Agreements to NGOs. Full proposals for strategic projects are expected by 4 March 2027.
Who can apply
Non-governmental organisations, public bodies and private entities, including businesses; specific eligibility varies by type of call.
Sectoral scope
No sectoral exclusion. Agricultural and agri-industrial businesses may take part in projects on biodiversity, soil, efficient water use, circular economy and emission reduction, normally in partnership.
Notes and caveats
Verified on cinea.ec.europa.eu. The deadline field reports the main deadline (22/09/2026); other deadlines confirmed on the same page: 03/09/2026 (concept notes for strategic projects), 08/09/2026 (FPA OG), 04/03/2027 (full proposal for strategic projects). The budget of EUR 601.5 million is taken from the title of the CINEA institutional press release of 22/04/2026, not from an opened document: verify on the Funding & Tenders Portal. Co-financing rates not indicated on the page.
Status recalculated. The managing body’s portal listed this scheme as «aperto», but the published deadline says otherwise. In such cases we go by the date.
