PNRR - Investments in the resilience of the irrigation agro-system (M2C4 Investment 4.3) and irrigation infrastructure
This call is closed. It stays in the catalogue because these windows recur: ask to be alerted when it reopens.
What it funds
EUR 880 million measure (of which EUR 360 million currently active) for improving the efficiency of collective irrigation systems, modernising the infrastructure and installing meters and digital technologies for the management of water resources. The targets provide for extension to 105 abstraction sources and 422,407 hectares and the installation of 750 third-level and 20,000 fourth-level meters by the second quarter of 2026. The resources have been allocated in full by the financing decrees; the last procedure open to third parties was the call for meter installers (applications from 10 September to 1 October 2025).
Who can apply
Land reclamation consortia (consorzi di bonifica) and irrigation bodies. It is not a directly accessible measure for individual agricultural businesses.
Sectoral scope
Agricultural businesses benefit indirectly as users of the consortia's irrigation networks; they cannot apply on their own behalf. For on-holding reservoirs and ponds, the regional CSR/PSR calls are the ones to look at.
Notes and caveats
Verified on masaf.gov.it. Included because it was explicitly requested, but it must be pointed out to the client that it is NOT directly accessible to agricultural businesses. The Piano Invasi (DPCM with EUR 260 million allocated) follows the same logic: the beneficiaries are public bodies and consortia.
