What it funds

The twenty-sixth window of the Bulgarian CAP Strategic Plan, opened on 26 January 2026 with a budget of over EUR 235 million, of which more than EUR 212 million is earmarked for sensitive sectors. It funds infrastructure improvement, machinery installation, storage facilities, renewable energy generation and product quality measures. Selection criteria reward cooperation between farmers, processing of own raw material, automation, digitalisation, innovation, job creation and production of protected designation or traditional speciality products. The original deadline of 27 April 2026 was extended to 15 May 2026.

Farmers, producer groups and organisations, and processing enterprises.

Notes and caveats

CLOSED on 15 May 2026. The extension (press release of 27 April 2026) was justified by the technical need to update 24 registers, including those for protected designation products and 'mountain products'. Useful as a reference for the Bulgarian rhythm: three-month windows, almost always extended by two to three weeks.
