Agricultural Investment Support Programme (AFP) 2023-2027 - North Rhine-Westphalia
Original title (DE): Agrarinvestitionsförderungsprogramm (AFP) 2023 bis 2027 - Nordrhein-Westfalen
What it funds
The North Rhine-Westphalia AFP runs two application windows a year, each followed by a ranking. In 2026 the first window closed on 15 June with ranking on 28 July; the second window is open and closes on 16 September 2026, with ranking on 29 October 2026. Relevant for Agrostar: irrigation systems and climate-resilience measures are funded at 30%. Until 31 August 2026 a moratorium applies to pig-sector investments (covered by the federal BUT programme). Land purchase, second-hand equipment and energy generation plants already supported under renewable-energy legislation are excluded.
Who can apply
Agricultural and horticultural enterprises in North Rhine-Westphalia deriving income predominantly from farming or horticulture, with average positive income over the last three tax returns not exceeding EUR 150,000 (single) or EUR 180,000 (married).
Notes and caveats
The EUR 1,200,000 ceiling refers to the whole 2023-2027 period and can be reached only once per beneficiary. The source does not publish the opening date of the second window: only the deadline (Antragsschluss 16.09.2026) and the ranking date (29.10.2026).
