Data to be re-checked. The source does not publish the status or the dates of this scheme explicitly. Do not prepare an application without checking the managing body’s portal.
What it funds
The Baden-Württemberg AFP funds construction and modernisation of buildings (livestock housing, greenhouses), new interior installations with their software, emission-reducing machinery, irrigation systems and technical design and consultancy costs. From 2026 the eligible investment volume has been standardised at EUR 2 million and the prosperity thresholds have been raised for the first time since 2017 to EUR 210,000 / 250,000. The rate for weather-risk prevention measures (hail netting, frost irrigation, drought management) has risen from 20% to 30%. From 1 September 2026 support for high-animal-welfare pig housing resumes, after the federal BUT programme closes.
Who can apply
Micro and small enterprises under Reg. (EU) 2022/2472 deriving at least 25% of turnover from cultivation or livestock and meeting the minimum size under the agricultural pension act (ALG); non-profit bodies running farms; agricultural producer associations.
Notes and caveats
STATUS TO BE VERIFIED: Baden-Württemberg works with Auswahltermine (selection dates) published on a dedicated Förderwegweiser sub-page that could not be opened (404 / robots.txt). The MLR press release only states that the first 2026 selection date falls in April and that pig-housing applications are accepted from July 2026. Exact dates must be confirmed with the competent Regierungspräsidium before planning an application.
