What it funds
Aid scheme for investments in new solar electricity generation installations for self-consumption, restricted to activities under eligible NACE codes, optionally with integrated storage. Selection uses a competitive bidding procedure across two capacity categories. AFIR started verification and evaluation after the deadline.

Agricultural enterprises registered with the Romanian trade register (ONRC), food-industry enterprises, and land-improvement organisations (OUAI/FOUAI) under Law 138/2004.
Access for non-resident businesses
La scheda AFIR richiede espressamente che il beneficiario sia un'impresa 'inregistrata la ONRC', cioe' iscritta al registro del commercio rumeno.
Notes and caveats
CLOSED. Included because it shows the rhythm of the windows and the level of demand: it is the largest AFIR session of 2026 and the most oversubscribed. The applicable applicant guide was version V7 of June 2026. MADR left open the possibility of further rounds if resources are freed up. The EUR 265 million figure and the split by capacity were cross-checked against a specialist press source: the overall figure is consistent with the AFIR page, but the EUR 145/120 million split was not re-read on afir.ro.
