This is the Swedish measure most directly relevant to irrigation: it funds the construction of storage ponds for crop irrigation, as a drought-adaptation tool and to reduce direct abstraction from watercourses and groundwater. The rate is 40% of eligible costs, capped at SEK 1,600,000 per pond; to qualify you must incur at least SEK 200,000 of eligible costs. The applicant must own the land where the investment takes place or hold the landowner's permission. In Skåne and Västra Götaland the measure is filed 'löpande' throughout 2026, with no scheduled rounds, so it is open today. Stated average processing time is about three months from application to decision.
