Aid for non-productive investments on farms (intervention 352, Wallonia)

Original title (FR): Aides aux investissements non-productifs dans les exploitations agricoles (intervention 352)

What it funds

Walloon scheme for non-productive on-farm investments, with new features introduced in the 2026 campaign and validated by the Walloon Government and the European Commission. It funds sustainable hydraulic infrastructure such as fascines, ditches, buffer basins, infiltration swales, retention ponds, relocation and layout of field entrances, and drainage. Traditional drainage, works on public spaces and structures requiring stability studies are not eligible. The rate is 100% of eligible costs, with specific flat-rate amounts per investment type set in Walloon legislation, plus flat-rate aid of EUR 500 for studies and EUR 150 for permit procedures. The ceiling per beneficiary over 2023-2027 is EUR 30,000. The scheme is open from 1 January 2023 until the available budget is exhausted; works must be completed within 2 years of the acceptance notification. Submission through AII-on-Web from the Walloon digital Guichet.

Who can apply

Applicants registered in SIGeC, meeting the active farmer definition, professionally qualified, self-employed farmers at least on a supplementary basis, not classified as undertakings in difficulty, with a holding compliant with its environmental permit.

Notes and caveats

Permanently open scheme with no fixed deadline: open until the budget is exhausted, which is why the deadline field is null. The remaining available envelope is not published, so the 'open' status should be confirmed by contacting questions.structures.agricoles.opw@spw.wallonie.be before committing expenditure. The 100% rate is paid on flat-rate amounts, not as reimbursement of actual cost: the real benefit depends on the ratio between the flat rate and the actual cost of the works. The explicit exclusion of 'traditional drainage' and of structures requiring stability studies sharply limits applicability to engineered hydraulic installations.
