Single-farm investment support (EIF) - Part A: Agricultural Investment Support Programme (AFP), Bavaria
Original title (DE): Einzelbetriebliche Investitionsförderung (EIF) - Teil A: Agrarinvestitionsförderprogramm (AFP)
What it funds
The Bavarian AFP funds on-farm investments in buildings, installations and equipment, with a strong focus on animal welfare (premium-standard housing) and emission reduction. Applications are submitted exclusively online via the iBALIS portal and enter a scoring-based selection procedure. The currently open round closes on 30 September 2026 at 24:00 and has roughly EUR 76 million available. Eligible investment volume runs from EUR 20,000 to EUR 1,200,000 (up to EUR 2,400,000 for cooperatives/farm associations). A new guideline with amended conditions is announced for early 2027.
Who can apply
Farms established in Bavaria meeting the minimum size under the German agricultural pension act (ALG), with at least 25% of turnover from land-based cultivation or livestock, holding agricultural professional qualifications and with positive income not exceeding EUR 140,000 (single) or EUR 170,000 (married).
Notes and caveats
The source does not state the opening date of the round: only the 30 September 2026 deadline is given. The EUR 2,400,000 ceiling applies to farm cooperatives/associations. Conditions will change with the new guideline expected in early 2027.
