What it funds

Bavarian programme supporting improved livestock housing conditions (in particular the first conversion to loose housing for dairy cattle on small farms) and the purchase of specialised machinery for mountain areas and steep-slope vineyards. Applications are suspended indefinitely: the ministry is redesigning the procedures to cut red tape and is awaiting EU approval. Reopening is expected no earlier than autumn 2026.

Bavarian farms; detailed eligibility categories are not currently published because the guidelines are under revision.

Notes and caveats

Ministry page updated 16 June 2026: 'Die Antragstellung ist bis auf weiteres ausgesetzt' (applications suspended until further notice). No firm reopening date, only 'autumn 2026 at the earliest'. Rates and ceilings not published.
