Bavarian measure funding investments that create additional income sources from self-employed activities linked to agriculture in rural areas (services, hospitality, contract processing and similar). The ministry states the round is open and it closes on 30 September 2026 at 24:00, with a EUR 3 million budget. Applications go through the iBALIS portal. Primary agricultural production and energy generation facilities are explicitly excluded.
Farmers meeting the minimum size under the agricultural social insurance act, with at least 25% of turnover from cultivation or livestock, holding professional qualifications, with maximum income of EUR 140,000 (single) / EUR 170,000 (married).
Of limited relevance for irrigation systems or precision agriculture: primary production is excluded. Included for completeness of the Bavarian picture.
