Ireland's main national scheme for commercial horticulture investment, with a 2026 budget of EUR 8.8 million. It funds specialised plant and equipment across field vegetables, seed potatoes, mushrooms, protected food crops, amenity crops, soft fruit, apples and beekeeping. Its stated objectives explicitly include facilitating the adoption of innovative technologies and investment in climate change mitigation, which makes it the most relevant Irish channel for irrigation systems and precision technologies in glasshouse and field production. The 2026 edition opened on 17 October 2025 and closed on Friday 12 December 2025.
Existing commercial horticultural producers and new entrants to horticulture.
CLOSED (closed before 1 January 2026). Included because it is the most relevant Irish scheme for irrigation and glasshouse technology and because it sets the annual rhythm: the 2027 edition should be monitored from October 2026. Applications by e-mail to horticulturegrants@agriculture.gov.ie.
