Sustainable investments in agricultural holdings

What it funds

Window OPENING from 1 to 28 September 2026, with a budget of at least EUR 17 million. It funds technologies that reduce greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions or improve air quality (the mandatory activity), biogas production from livestock manure and biodegradable agricultural waste, and investments in animal welfare standards above the legal minimum. For 2026 the intake will no longer be suspended once the ceiling is reached: all projects submitted by the deadline will be assessed against the selection criteria. The minimum holding economic size is EUR 30,001 and farming must account for at least 50% of income.

Who can apply

Lithuanian farms with an economic size of at least EUR 30,001 and at least 50% of income from farming. Selection criteria award points for: first-time applicants (25), smaller projects with the mandatory activity only (30), holdings with economic size up to EUR 200,000 (25), young farmers up to 41 (5), cooperative members (5).

Notes and caveats

Ministry announcement of 12 August 2026; NMA published its own call 'Kviečiame teikti paraiškas pagal SP priemonę Tvarios investicijos į žemės ūkio valdas' on 17 August 2026. The budget shown (at least EUR 17m) is the one stated by the ministry: the final amount and the regional split should be read in the NMA announcement.
